Michael Hsieh is a nonresident fellow of the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University, where he focuses on the impact of technology on various aspects of the public interest. Dr. Hsieh has worked in multiple technology areas over a two decade career in government, academia and industry: quantum computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and developing tools to resist social media disinformation and censorship. Previously, Dr. Hsieh was lab director of the Transformative Cyber Innovation Lab, and program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
