The Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of Czech Technical University in Prague has established cooperation in the field of nuclear chemistry with the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Comenius University Bratislava. The partnership aims to support joint scientific activities, enhance the expertise of students and academic staff, and strengthen cooperation between the two institutions in nuclear chemistry and related disciplines. “I am very pleased to see these agreements signed. Joint workplaces will be created, we will strengthen mutual mobility programmes, and we will work together on shared tasks,” said Róbert Zsembera during the joint meeting. Specifically, the agreement includes the establishment of a joint research laboratory for isotope analysis using the LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) method, the creation of joint research teams, and the preparation of collaborative research projects. The cooperation will also involve joint publications, supervision of final and qualification theses, and the involvement of experts from both universities in teaching and educational activities. In addition to the joint meeting and signing ceremony, the delegation from the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic also visited CTU’s research reactors. “With this, you have launched a nuclear renaissance in the Czech Republic,” remarked Alena Sabelová while looking into the core of the Czech Republic’s newest nuclear reactor, VR-2.
